Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 medium sized chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce 
  • 1 tbsp Hoisin sauce
  • 1 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 tbsp fresh ginger root 
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/8th cup water
  • Chopped Scallions and Sesames for garnish (optional)

Instruction

  • 1. In a 5 quart slow cooker add the chicken breasts. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil. Cook on low for 4-6 hours or high for 3-4 hours.

  • 2. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and shred. Whisk together the cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Whisk it into the sauce in the slow cooker. If you find the sauce is already thick enough skip this step. 
  • Return the shredded chicken back to the slow cooker and let cook for another 15 minutes to let the sauce thicken.
