Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1/4 cup plain flour
- salt and pepper
- 1 kg beef chuck steak, cubed
- 2 tbs vegetable oil
- 3 onions, sliced
- 1/2 cup tomato paste
- 2 cups Massel Beef Style Liquid Stock
- 500 g button mushrooms, halved
Instruction
- Season the flour with salt and pepper and toss the chuck steak in it to coat.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan and brown the steak in small batches.
- When all the steak in browned add the onions to the pan and cook until translucent. Add the tomato paste and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the beef stock and return the beef to the pan.
- Stir in the mushrooms and bring to the boil.
- Pour all into the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
