Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 silverside corned beef
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 L water
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 2 tsp cornflour
  • 1 cup pot juice

Instruction

  • Silverside: Place all silverside ingredients into a slow cooker and pour in water, just enough to cover the meat - you may need more or less than a litre depending on the size of your slow cooker.
  • Cook on slow for approximately 6-8 hours.
  • Honey sauce: Place ½ cup pot juice, vinegar and sugar into a saucepan and bring to the boil.
  • Add mustard and cornflour, and mix together well.
  • Sauce should thicken. Serve and enjoy.
