Ingredients

The following ingredients have 6 Servings
  • 1 silverside roast (beef)
  • 2 onions small halved
  • 1 carrot medium peeled roughly chopped
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup malt brown vinegar
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 1/2 bay leaves
  • 2L Massel Beef Style Stock
  • water

Instruction

  • Place all ingredients in the slow cooker, with silverside on top of the vegetables. Ensure silverside is almost emerged in the stock and water.
  • Cook on low for 6½ hours until tender and slightly falling apart.
  • Allow to rest for 10 minutes under foil before serving.
  • Serve with mashed potato, vegetables from the slow cooker and green beans.
