Ingredients

The following ingredients have 7 Servings
  • 3 large chicken breasts, ( boneless and skinless (about 2 lbs))
  • 1 bottle Salsa Verde
  • 1 medium onion, (chopped)
  • 2 bay leaves, (fresh or dried)
  • 2 tsp ground cumin, (or adjust amount to taste)
  • 3 cloves garlic cloves, (peeled and crushed)
  • 1 tbsp jarred sliced jalapeno or 1 fresh jalapeno, (seeded and sliced)
  • salt and pepper, (to taste)

Instruction

  • Place the chopped onions at the bottom of the slow cooker. Add the chicken breasts on top and add the rest of the ingredients. Cover and let cook for 6 hours on low or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  • Once the chicken is cooked and tender, uncover and shred with a fork. Serve as part of your tacos or burritos with some sour cream, cheese, fresh chopped cilantro and corn salsa on the side.
