Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 onions (chopped)
  • 6 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 12 oz tomato paste
  • 112 oz whole tomatoes (4 28-oz cans, undrained)
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1-2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • Parmesan cheese for serving

Instruction

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Add onions and garlic and saute until garlic is fragrant and onions are softened.
  • Add tomato paste, tomatoes, bay leaves, sugar, salt and black pepper to slow cooker. Top with onion garlic mixture. Stir to combine.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
  • Makes enough to sauce 4 pounds of pasta!
