Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 5 cups ham stock
  • 2 cups chopped ham
  • 1 pound bag split peas
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 2 or 3 large carrots, cut into chunks
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 2 bay leaves
  • fresh thyme sprigs for garnish ((optional))

Instruction

  • Place the broth, carrots, onions, ham and half the peas into the crock pot.
  •  Cook on high for about an hour, then reduce it to low. Cook for about two to three hours. 
  • Add the rest of the peas and the spices, then cook an additional hour to hour and a half. 
  • Serve hot with garlic toast - and that's all there is to it!
