Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 5 cups ham stock
- 2 cups chopped ham
- 1 pound bag split peas
- 3/4 cup chopped onion
- 2 or 3 large carrots, cut into chunks
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- fresh thyme sprigs for garnish ((optional))
Instruction
- Place the broth, carrots, onions, ham and half the peas into the crock pot.
- Cook on high for about an hour, then reduce it to low. Cook for about two to three hours.
- Add the rest of the peas and the spices, then cook an additional hour to hour and a half.
- Serve hot with garlic toast - and that's all there is to it!
