Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 cup dried pinto beans
- 1 cup dried great norther beans
- 1 cup dried red kidney beans
- 1/2 cup diced white onion
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 6 cups water
- 3/4 cup BBQ sauce
- 8 strips of regular bacon, cooked crisp and chopped
- 2/3 cup sliced smoked sausage
Instruction
- Place beans in a pot and cover with water. Boil for 10 minutes. Remove from heat, drain, and rinse.
- Place beans, water, garlic, onion, salt, and pepper into the slow cooker. Cook on low for 7 hours.
- Remove cover and add BBQ sauce, bacon, and smoked sausage. Stir. Replace cover and cook for an additional 60 minutes on low.
- Stir and serve. The beans will thicken as they cool.
