Ingredients
The following ingredients have 15 Servings
- 1 ½ cups flour
- 1 ½ cups cornmeal
- ¼ cup sugar
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 eggs (whisked)
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1/3 cup butter (melted)
- 1 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 1 cup corn kernels (fresh or frozen)
Instruction
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder and salt.
- In a small bowl, combine the eggs, buttermilk and melted butter.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients.
- Mix well, then add the shredded cheddar and corn.
- Line the inside of a slow cooker with non-stick foil.
- Pour the cornbread batter into the slow cooker.
- Cook on high for 2-3 hours.
- Use the edges of the foil to lift and remove the cornbread from the slow cooker.
- Slice the cornbread into 15 squares.
