Ingredients

The following ingredients have 6 Servings
  • 1kg chicken breast fillet diced
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1 carrot large chopped
  • 2 celery stalks chopped
  • 400g canned potatoes drained chopped
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 6 short-cut bacon rashers chopped
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika
  • 1/4 tsp hot smoked paprika *to taste
  • 1L Massel Chicken Style Liquid Stock
  • 420g canned tomato soup
  • 2 bay leaves

Instruction

  • Heat oil in a large frying pan, add chicken in batches and cook until brown, transferring each batch to the slow cooker.
  • Add a little more oil, and then cook onion, celery and carrots until almost soft, then add to the slow cooker.
  • Open the tin of potatoes, drain the water and cut potatoes, so they are around the same size, then put the potato, garlic, bacon, thyme, oregano, paprika, stock, tomato soup and bay leaves in the slow cooker, stir and cook on low for 4 hours.
