Ingredients

The following ingredients have 5 Servings
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cans black beans (rinsed and drained)
  • 16 oz Bottle of Salsa Verde
  • 1 can Corn
  • 1/2 tablespoon Cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • slices Lime/Lemon
  • leaves Cilantro/Parsley
  • Tomato (chopped)

Instruction

  • In a slow cooker place the chicken breasts on the bottom
  • Add the corn and black beans
  • Add the cumin, garlic, salt and pepper
  • Pour the salsa verde on top. Mix
  • Cook on high for 4-5 hours
  • When ready, remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred using 2 forks
  • Place the chicken back in the slow cooker and mix with the sauce
  • Serve on top of rice or with tortillas
  • Top with fresh veggies and herbs if desired
