Ingredients
The following ingredients have 7 Servings
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1¼ cups sugar ((divided into 3/4 and 1/2 cups))
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup milk
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 3 punnets (6 oz each) blackberries ((or your favorite Berries))
- ½ cup water
- Heavy or whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for topping ((for serving))
Instruction
- In the slow cooker, whisk together the flour, 3/4 cup sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Combine the eggs, milk, and oil in a bowl then stir into the dry ingredients just until moistened.
- In a large saucepan, combine the blackberries, water, and remaining sugar. Bring to a boil.
- Once it has boiled, remove from the heat and immediately, pour it over the batter. Cover and cook on high for 2 to 2-1/2 hours or until a toothpick inserted into the batter comes out clean.
- Turn the slow cooker off. Uncover and let stand for 20-30 minutes before serving. Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream!
