Ingredients

The following ingredients have 6 Servings
  • 1-1/2 pounds lean stewing beef
  • 1 medium-large onion, chopped (about 1-1/2 cups)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups (8 to 10 ounces) sliced mushrooms
  • 1 can (10-3/4 ounces) low fat reduced sodium cream of mushroom soup (such as Campbell's Healthy Request)
  • 1/2 cup dry red wine, such as merlot
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Montreal Steak seasoning (optional)

Instruction

  • Ideal slow cooker size: 4-Quart.
  • Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker.
  • Cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours, or on HIGH for 3-1/2 to 5 hours, until beef is tender.
  • Serve over rice or noodles if desired. (Just be sure to add the associated points.)
