Ingredients
The following ingredients have 6 Servings
- 3 pound boneless lean pork shoulder
- 1 Medium Onion
- 1/4 cup water
- Dry Rub
- 2 teaspoons Smoked Paprika
- 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon coconut sugar
- BBQ Sauce
- 3 tablespoons organic low sodium tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1 clove of garlic (crushed)
- 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
Instruction
- Slice the onions and place them into the slow cooker.
- Mix the spice rub ingredients together and rub them into the meat.
- Place the meat on top of the onions, cover and cook for 4 1/2 to 5 hours on low.
- Mix up the ingredients for the bbq sauce.
- Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it.
- Add the shredded meat back into the slow cooker and pour in the sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for at least 1 hour longer.
