Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 large onion (sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1-1/2 pounds fresh stringless green beans ((trimmed))
  • 1 pound smoked ham ((diced))
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon Louisiana hot pepper sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instruction

  • Saute the onion and garlic in a small pan until softened but not browned.
  • Stir up the vinegar, barbecue sauce, broth, pepper sauce and black pepper in a small bowl.
  • Place all ingredients in the crock of a slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low for six hours.
  • Adjust salt if needed.
