Ingredients
The following ingredients have 24 Servings
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 pound ground pork
- 2 whole eggs
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 2 tablespoons chives ((green and white parts) chopped)
- salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 4 teaspoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- sliced green onions for garnish (if desired)
- sesame seeds for garnish (if desired)
Instruction
- Add ground beef, pork, eggs, breadcrumbs, garlic and chives to a large bowl.
- With your hand or a spoon mix to combine. Do not overmix.
- Roll into 24 meatballs.
- Heat a large skillet with oil. Add the meatballs and brown on all sides, about 2-3 minutes on each side. You do not want to cook the meatballs just brown them.
- Meanwhile, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, sweet chili sauce, sesame oil and garlic. Set aside.
- Add the browned meatballs to the slow cooker and top with the soy sauce mixture.
- Cook on low for 2 hours. Stir gently a couple of times making sure not to break up the meatballs.
- Serve with green onions and sesame seeds for garnish, if desired.
