Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 4 red apples (thinly sliced and cored)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups plain bread crumbs
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 8 tbsp butter

Instruction

  • In a large bowl, combine the apples, sugar, and lemon juice
  • In another large bowl, whisk the flour, cinnamon, bread crumbs, and brown sugar
  • Use a pastry blender or two butter knives to cut in the butter until a crumbly mixture forms
  • Layer 1/3 of the bread crumb mixture in the bottom of the slow cooker
  • Add half of the apples on top
  • Add another layer of bread crumbs, the remaining apples, then top with the remaining bread crumbs
  • Cover and cook on high for 4 hours
  • Serve warm with whipped topping or ice cream
