Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 4 red apples (thinly sliced and cored)
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 2 cups plain bread crumbs
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 8 tbsp butter
Instruction
- In a large bowl, combine the apples, sugar, and lemon juice
- In another large bowl, whisk the flour, cinnamon, bread crumbs, and brown sugar
- Use a pastry blender or two butter knives to cut in the butter until a crumbly mixture forms
- Layer 1/3 of the bread crumb mixture in the bottom of the slow cooker
- Add half of the apples on top
- Add another layer of bread crumbs, the remaining apples, then top with the remaining bread crumbs
- Cover and cook on high for 4 hours
- Serve warm with whipped topping or ice cream
