Ingredients

The following ingredients have 5 Servings
  • 1 cup steel cut oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 (14-ounce) cans light coconut milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 cups cubed apples
  • 3 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons coconut butter
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch of cardamom
  • for topping: toasted almonds,
  • 1 1/2 cups pure maple syrup

Instruction

  • Spray your slow cooker with nonstick spray. Stir all ingredients together in the slow cooker and set on low for 6 to 8 hours. Stir once or twice if you can. If not, the mixture might stick to the edges a bit. Serve hot with extra milk drizzled on top and a variety of toppings!
  • You can store this in the fridge for a few days and reheat with a bit of milk.
