Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/4 cup white onion, (finely diced)
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper, (finely diced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 3 ounces tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • kosher salt, (to taste)
  • ground black pepper, (to taste)

Instruction

  • Add the ground beef, onions, and green pepper to a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat until beef has browned and vegetables are tender. Drain excess liquid.
  • Add in the remaining ingredients and simmer over medium-low heat for 15 to 20 minutes until sauce has thickened.
  • Serve the sloppy joe mixture on hamburger rolls. I like to spread a little mayo on my rolls and sprinkles my sloppy joe mixture with grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
