Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup white onion, (finely diced)
- 1/4 cup green bell pepper, (finely diced)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon dijon mustard
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 3 ounces tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- kosher salt, (to taste)
- ground black pepper, (to taste)
Instruction
- Add the ground beef, onions, and green pepper to a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat until beef has browned and vegetables are tender. Drain excess liquid.
- Add in the remaining ingredients and simmer over medium-low heat for 15 to 20 minutes until sauce has thickened.
- Serve the sloppy joe mixture on hamburger rolls. I like to spread a little mayo on my rolls and sprinkles my sloppy joe mixture with grated Parmesan cheese for extra flavor.
