Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 pound ground chicken or turkey
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 25 ounce jar spaghetti sauce
- 2 cups water
- 4 ounces uncooked spaghetti noodles
- optional: grated parmesan and fresh herbs for topping
Instruction
- Combine first 7 ingredients in a bowl and mix until just combined.
- Form into 14-16 meatballs.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Sear meatballs, rotating every minute.
- Add sauce to pan. Fill jar 2/3 full with water. Shake the jar and add liquid to the pan. (If you’re using homemade sauce, just add 2 cups water).
- Clear space in the middle of the pan between the meatballs. Break noodles in half and add to the pan. Cover and let simmer for 8 minutes.
- Stir, cover and cook 8-10 minutes more or until pasta reaches desired doneness.
- Top with cheese and fresh herbs before serving.
