- 1 apple ((peeled and diced))
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon all purpose flour
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon butter ((melted; salted or unsalted works))
- 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons rolled oats
- 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 pinch ground cardamom
Instruction
- For the filling, stir together the apple, brown sugar, flour and cinnamon in a 10-ounce ramekin.
- For the crumble, in a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter in the microwave. Stir in the flour, brown sugar, rolled oats, cinnamon and cardamom, until coarse and crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over the top of the apple mixture.
- To serve immediately: Bake uncovered at 350°F for 30minutes.
- To freeze: Cover the ramekin with a square of aluminum foil. Top the foil with plastic wrap and fasten with an elastic band.
- Store for up to 3 months.
- To thaw: Thaw overnight in the fridge.
- While pre-heating the oven, remove crisp from fridge to come to room-temperature.
- Bake at 350°F for 30minutes.
