Ingredients

The following ingredients have 6 Servings
  • 1 bottle light/medium bodied red wine (I suggest pinot noir)
  • 1/4 cup demerara sugar
  • 1/4 cup bourbon
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 3 star anise
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 1 blood orange, sliced

Instruction

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil.
  • Once boiling, reduce heat to simmer and cook for 5 minutes.
  • To serve, pour into mugs and garnish with a slice of blood orange, a star anise, and cinnamon stick!
