Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 ½ cups reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 ½ cups milk ((I use 2%))
  • ¾ cup quick grits ((see note))
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt (more to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper (more to taste)
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese (more or less to taste)
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 pound jumbo peeled and deveined shrimp, (thawed)
  • Half of a large onion (diced)
  • 6 garlic cloves, (minced or pressed)
  • ¼ cup dry white wine ((see note))
  • 1 15-ounce can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper (more or less to taste)
  • ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¾ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 Tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
