Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 pounds boneless beef chuck (roast)
  • 1 large onion (sliced)
  • 1 cup honey barbecue sauce
  • 12 ounce beer (I used Founder's Dirty Bastard Ale)
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic
  • Additional barbecue sauce
  • provolone cheese
  • slider buns

Instruction

  • Place beef in slow cooker topped with onions, barbecue sauce, beer and minced garlic.
  • Cook on low for about 8 hours or until beef is very tender.
  • Remove beef and shred with two forks.
  • (Optional) Skim fat off top of remaining liquid in slow cooker.
  • Return shredded beef to slow cooker and cook for about 30 minutes.
  • Remove beef from slow cooker and place in a strainer to allow most of the liquid to drain from beef.
  • Serve beef topped with additional barbecue sauce and provolone cheese on slider buns.
