Ingredients

The following ingredients have 16 Servings
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg, beaten

Instruction

  • Mix Ingredients: Combine and mix dry ingredients (flour and sugar) in bowl. Then add wet ingredients (vanilla extract, milk, and melted butter) to bowl. Mix well.
  • Assemble Baking Dish: Line 8x8 inch baking dish with foil, then grease bottom and sides. Transfer mixture to baking dish, using rubber spatula to flatten mixture against bottom of baking dish. Use pastry brush to add thin layer of beaten egg over surface of mixture; discard remainder of egg (Note 1).
  • Bake & Serve: Bake uncovered at 350 F for 30 minutes. Let cool before cutting into 16 bars and serving (Note 2).
