Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 7- ounce firm tofu ((about 200g))
  • 1/4 cup Japanese panko
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup Shiitake mushrooms (from dried, soaked in water till softened, finely chopped)

Instruction

  • Place a kitchen towel on the counter and place the tofu on top. Put a heavy item, such as a small pot, on top of the tofu for one hour to squeeze out excess water. Finely mash the tofu with the spoon.
  • Combine the mashed tofu with all other ingredients. Mix well, then form them into patties.
  • Line the fryer basket with lightly greased aluminum foil. Place the patties into the fryer basket and air fry at 380F (190C) for 6 minutes. Remove the patties from the basket and put a steamer rack inside the rack. Put the patties onto the rack with the less cooked side facing up. Air fry at 380F (190) for about 5 minutes.
  • Serve them with buns or bun-less burgers and drizzle them with some teriyaki sauce.
