Ingredients
The following ingredients have 6 Servings
- For pudding batter:
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- A pinch of salt
- 70 grams butter (room temperature)
- 40 grams dark chocolate
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup-3/4cup milk
- Vanilla extract
- For sauce
- Sugar to sprinkle on pudding mix
- 1 1/2 cups to 2 cups water
- 1-2 tablespoon instant coffee powder
Instruction
- Preheat oven at 180C. Grease an eight or nine inch baking pan well and set aside. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa powder into a mixing bowl.
- Melt butter and chocolate well until smooth and glossy. Add sugar and mix very well.
- Pour the chocolate mixture to the sifted dry ingredients and mix well. Keep adding milk as required to make a smooth batter. You may need around 3/4 cup milk.
- Pour the pudding batter into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle sugar all over it.
- Bring 1 1/2 of water to rolling boil. Add 2 tablespoons instant coffee powder and mix well. Boil for 2-3 minutes. Pour this coffee on the pudding batter.
- Bake in the hot oven for 30-35 minutes at 180C.
- Serve chocolate pudding hot with whipped cream or ice cream.
