The following ingredients have 7 Servings
  • 3 cups (750 ml) milk
  • 1 cup (250 ml) 35% cream
  • 1 onion, peeled and halved
  • 3 cloves garlic, peeled and cut in half
  • 4 1/2 lbs (2 kg) white potatoes, peeled and sliced on a mandolin, about 1/8-inch (3-mm) thick
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2.5 ml) salt
  • 1 cup (250 ml) grated Gruyère de Grotte cheese
  • Freshly ground pepper
