Ingredients

The following ingredients have 12 Servings
  • 4 cups frozen green peas
  • 4 large shallots, (peeled, halved, and cut into 1/4 inch slices)
  • 1 clove garlic, (finely minced)
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, (finely chopped (plus more for garnish))

Instruction

  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the olive oil, butter, and shallots. Saute the shallots until softened and lightly browned - about 5-7 minutes.
  • Add the garlic and continue to cook for 2 minutes.
  • Next, add the frozen green peas, salt, and ground black pepper. Stir into the shallots and garlic. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until the peas are heated all the way through.
  • Turn off heat. Add parsley and stir into the green peas.
  • Plate, garnish, and serve immediately.
