Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 pound frozen green beans (preferably haricot verts)
  • 1-2 shallots (thinly sliced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons pine nuts

Instruction

  • Rinse and drain green beans.
  • Heat pan over medium heat and add green beans, lightly cooking them for 4-5 minutes.
  • Add small amount of water to the pan to lightly steam the green beans for 4-5 minutes.
  • Once the water has evaporated add the vegetable oil and lightly sautee green beans for 3-4 minutes. Using a spatula spread the green beans to the other side of the pan and add the shallots to the pan.
  • , Lightly saute the shallots 3-4 minutes and add the garlic, lightly cook 1-2 minutes.
  • Mix shallots and garlic with green beans and add the pine nuts. Cook 3-4 minutes more or until pine nuts are lightly toasted.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot.
