Ingredients

The following ingredients have 2 Servings
  • 1 lb Broccoli (cut into florets)
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 large Garlic cloves (sliced)
  • 1 inch Ginger (sliced)
  • 1 tbsp Soy sauce
  • ½ tsp Kosher salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Lemon juice

Instruction

  • In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil, garlic, and ginger. Cook these for a minute, then add the broccoli florets. Add 2 tablespoons of water, cover the skillet and cook on low for 3 to 4 minutes. Pro tip - Make sure the florets are in a single layer so they cook evenly. Covering the pan will keep the stems inside which helps soften the stalk making them tender.
  • Open the skillet, drizzle the soy sauce, sprinkle some salt and black pepper.
  • Check to ensure the stalks (stems) are tender. If not, cook uncovered for another 2 minutes. Pro tip - We do not cook broccoli covered for more than 4 minutes because it may lose its beautiful green color.
  • Drizzle with lemon juice. Taste and adjust seasoning adding a pinch of salt and black pepper if necessary.
