Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 tsp rapeseed or sunflower oil
  • 8 good quality sausages
  • 1 onion, (chopped)
  • 1-2 cloves garlic, (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp smoked paprika
  • 6 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 200 ml water
  • 400 g can cannelloni beans ((or navy beans))
  • 400 g can borlotti beans ((pinto beans))
  • parsley, to garnish ((optional))

Instruction

  • Heat oven to 190℃ (180℃ fan)/375°F / gas mark 5
  • Heat the oil in a pan and brown the sausages.  Remove from the pan and set aside.
  • Add the onion to the pan and cook gently until beginning to soften;  about 5 minutes. Add the garlic.
  • Stir in the paprika, add the remaining ingredients and bring gently  to the boil, stirring until well blended. Pour into oven proof dish.
  • Place the sausages on top of the beans and bake for 20 minutes. Serve sprinkled with parsley if desired.
