Ingredients

The following ingredients have 6 Servings
  • 1 1/2 pounds Johnsonville ground Italian sausage
  • 1 medium onion, (chopped)
  • 1/2 green bell pepper, (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic, (minced)
  • 2 (6-ounce) cans tomato paste
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 cup water

Instruction

  • Brown ground sausage in a large pot or Dutch oven with a heavy bottom. Drain fat.
  • Add onion and green pepper and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  • Add remaining ingredients and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes.
