Ingredients

The following ingredients have 8 Servings
  • 8-10 large biscuits (at least a day old)
  • 1 lb of mild breakfast sausage
  • 1 cup yellow onion (diced)
  • 1 cup of celery (diced)
  • 1 teaspoon of minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons of fresh sage
  • 2 teaspoons of fresh thyme
  • 3 cups of chicken broth
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 350. Tear biscuits in to one inch pieces and place in a bowl (this will come to about 8 cups of biscuit pieces). Brown sausage, onion, celery and minced garlic in a skillet. Drain. Stir in sage, thyme, salt and pepper. Add sausage mixture to the biscuits. Pour chicken broth over mixture and place in a sprayed 2 quart casserole dish. Cover and bake for 30 minutes. Remove cover and bake an additional 20 minutes until dressing is browned on top.
