Ingredients

The following ingredients have 12 Servings
  • 5 cups peeled and chopped Granny Smith apples ((4-5 apples))
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ¼ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons lemon juice
  • 12 soft caramels (like Kraft)
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 3 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
  • Cinnamon Crisps (recipe HERE)
  • Graham crackers
  • vanilla wafers

Instruction

  • Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt and lemon juice and cook, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes. Add caramels and heavy cream and continue to cook until caramels are completely melted and apples are tender. approximately 8-10 minutes. Stir in peanut butter until completely smooth. Add additional heavy cream if desired for creamier.
  • Serve warm with Cinnamon Chips, Graham crackers, vanilla wafers, etc.
