Ingredients
The following ingredients have 12 Servings
- 5 cups peeled and chopped Granny Smith apples ((4-5 apples))
- 2 tablespoons butter
- ¼ cup packed brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- 1 ½ teaspoons lemon juice
- 12 soft caramels (like Kraft)
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 3 tablespoons smooth peanut butter
- Cinnamon Crisps (recipe HERE)
- Graham crackers
- vanilla wafers
Instruction
- Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, salt and lemon juice and cook, stirring occasionally for 5 minutes. Add caramels and heavy cream and continue to cook until caramels are completely melted and apples are tender. approximately 8-10 minutes. Stir in peanut butter until completely smooth. Add additional heavy cream if desired for creamier.
- Serve warm with Cinnamon Chips, Graham crackers, vanilla wafers, etc.
