Ingredients

The following ingredients have 8 Servings
  • 1 pre-baked pie crust
  • 1 Cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 Cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 Cups whole milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 Cup cashews (chopped, plus more for decoration)

Instruction

  • Combine sugar and flour in a medium saucepan
  • Whisk in milk and egg yolks
  • Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick and bubbling, about 5 minutes
  • Remove from heat and stir in butter until completely melted
  • Stir in vanilla, 1 teaspoon sea salt and 1 Cup cashews
  • Allow to cool 5 minutes; pour into baked pie crust
  • Cool on wire rack for 1 hour
  • Decorate with whole cashews, if desired
  • Cover and chill for 4 hours before serving
