Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1/4 cup plain flour
  • 1/4 tsp Chinese five-spice powder
  • 1 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp ground white pepper
  • 3 chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup oil for frying
  • 1 garlic clove crushed
  • 2 dried chillies chopped *to taste *optional
  • 2 spring onions *optional finely sliced

Instruction

  • Combine flour and spices in a bowl.
  • Cut chicken into 1cm strips and toss in flour mixture to coat.
  • Heat a frypan and add enough oil to thinly cover the base.
  • Fry chicken over a medium-high heat until golden.
  • Just before removing, add garlic, chilli and spring onions to the pan and cook for one minute.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels. While pan is still hot, fry some Asian greens with oyster or hoi sin sauce. Serve with rice.
