Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 4 ripe tomatoes
- 2 garlic cloves
- 8 slices Whole-grain baguette
- salt
- coarsely ground peppers
- 2 Tbsps olive oil
Instruction
- Rinse tomatoes, pat dry and cut in half. Peel the garlic and cut in half.
- Toast the bread slices until golden brown on both sides in a dry grill pan (or under a heated broiler).
- Let bread slices cool slightly, then rub with the cut garlic. (If you like, cut the garlic into thin slices and reserve for garnish.)
- Top bread with tomato halves, squeezing out pulp (or scooping with a spoon) so bread can soak up juices.
- Season toasts with salt and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil, garnish with sliced garlic (if desired) and serve.
