Ingredients

The following ingredients have 6 Servings
  • 15 stalks rhubarb
  • 4 apple
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbs water
  • 1/4 cup butter melted
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup oats
  • 2/3 cup plain flour

Instruction

  • String rhubarb and cut into pieces 3 cm long.
  • Peel, core and slice apples.
  • Place fruit into a microwave container.
  • Add sugar and a splash of water and cook on high for 10 minutes.
  • Spoon fruit into a 2 L baking dish.
  • Crumble topping: Place all ingredients into a bowl and mix well.
  • Sprinkle topping over fruit and pat down firmly.
  • Bake in a moderate oven for 25 minutes.
  • Serve with ice-cream, cream or custard.
