The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 2 cups rinsed and finely chopped methi (fenugreek leaves) (packed)
  • 1 cup frozen matar (green peas) (if using fresh peas, cook them in water until tender.)
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 1 teaspoon chopped ginger
  • 1 teaspoon chopped garlic
  • 1/2 cup cashew nuts
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons chopped green chilies
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 whole green cardamoms (hari elaichi)
  • 1 inch piece of cinnamon stick (dalchini)
  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon Kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened heavy cream (or whisked malai)
  • 1 teaspoon freshly squeezed lime juice
