Ingredients

The following ingredients have 1 Servings
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon sun dried tomato paste (or any kind of tomato paste)
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons dried Italian Herbs (rosemary, basil, thyme)
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (more to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 ounce of sun dried tomatoes in olive oil (I just pulled one tomato strip out of my jar and added it)
  • 1/4 teaspoon chopped parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instruction

  • In a saucepan on the stove, heat oils together. Add Italian Seasoning.
  • Bring to a simmer and continue simmering for 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  • In your blender, or using an immersion blender, blend together seasoned cool oil, tomato paste, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, sun dried tomatoes, parsley, salt and pepper.
  • Refrigerate for at least an hour. Flavor develops further the longer it cools and sits.
  • Store in air tight container in refrigerator for up to 30 days.
