Ingredients
The following ingredients have 12 Servings
- 1 box red velvet cake mix
- 1 large egg
- 8 tablespoons butter (melted)
- 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 8 tablespoons butter (melted)
- 16 ounces powdered sugar (about 4 cups)
Instruction
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine the cake mix, egg, and butter and mix well. It will be thick and difficult to mix. Pat the mixture into the bottom of a lightly greased 13 by 9-inch baking pan.
- In the bowl of your stand mixer, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the eggs, vanilla, and butter and beat together. Add the powdered sugar and mix until completely combined.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over cake batter and bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Make sure not to over bake as the center should be a little gooey.
