Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 cup Red Lentils / Dhuli Masoor Dal
- 3 tbsp Olive Oil
- 2-3 cloves Garlic (Chopped)
- 1 cup Onion (Chopped)
- 2 Jalapeno Peppers (Chopped)
- 1/2 cup Carrots (Chopped)
- 1/2 cup Peas
- 1/2 cup Tomato Puree
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder (optional)
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 cup Coconut milk
Instruction
- Heat olive oil in a large heavy bottom pan.
- Add garlic and fry till light brown in color.
- Add onions and pepper and fry for a minute.
- Now add carrots, peas, lentils, tomato puree, salt, red chilli powder and turmeric powder.
- Next. add 6 cups of water and cover and cook till lentils are soft and tender.
- Lastly, add coconut milk and lemon juice.
- Serve hot with some bread.
