Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1/2 cup Instant Oats
  • 1/2 cup Rice (preferably Basmati Rice)
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 4 cups Milk
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • HANDFUL OF PISTACHIOS AND DRY ROSE PETALS FOR GARNISHING

Instruction

  • Heat ghee in a pan and roast oats till they are light brown in color and the raw smell subsides.
  • Add 2 cups of milk and let the oats cook in it.
  • Once oats absorb the milk and thicken add sugar and rest 2 cups of milk.
  • At this point add cardamom powder and stir everything properly so that it doesn’t stick to the pan.
  • Keep stirring till the Oats kheer is creamy and thick.
  • Remove from the stove and let it cool.
  • Garnish oats kheer with roasted almonds, pistachios, and dry rose petals.
  • Refrigerate it for 2 hours and relish it cold.
