Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 cup grated bottle gourd (doodhi / lauki)
- 2 cups low-fat milk
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp cardamom (elaichi powder)
- 1/2 cup Almond and Pistachio shavings for garnishing
Instruction
- Combine the milk and bottle gourd in a deep non-stick pan, mix well and cook on a medium flame for 10 to 15 minutes or till the bottle gourd is cooked while stirring occasionally and scraping the sides of the pan.
- Add the sugar, mix well, and cook on a medium flame or another 1 to 2 minutes or till the sugar dissolves completely.
- Add the cardamom powder and mix well.
- Keep aside to cool completely and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Serve chilled with almond and pistachio shavings.
