Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1/4 cup rice (small-grained)
  • 1 1/2 ltr full-fat milk
  • 1/2 cup fresh cream
  • 2 cups ugar
  • 1/2 tsp cardamom powder (elaichi powder)
  • 2 cups pomegranates
  • 1/2 cup diced chickoo
  • 1/2 cup diced apples
  • 1/2 cup diced pears
  • 1/2 cup diced bananas
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream

Instruction

  • Wash the rice grains with water and soak it in water for 10 minutes.
  • Take a heavy bottom pan and pour milk in the pan.
  • Heat the pan and let the milk come to a single boil.
  • Now add the rice grains and stir it well.
  • Let the rice get cooked in the milk on a low flame.
  • Keep stirring in between so that the rice doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan.
  • Rice will take approximately 35-40 minutes to cook.
  • Now add the sugar and cardamom powder and stir well and let it cook for again 10-12 minutes till the milk becomes creamy and thick.
  • Once the desired consistency has attained switch off the gas and remove the kheer in a glass bowl and let it cool in room temperature.
  • Dice the fruits into small cubes and mix all the fruits in a bowl.
  • Keep aside a handful of pomegranates to start with the first layer.
  • Chill all the fruits before using except banana, Beat the whipping cream till it is soft and attains its peak.
