Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1/4 cup rice (small-grained)
- 1 1/2 ltr full-fat milk
- 1/2 cup fresh cream
- 2 cups ugar
- 1/2 tsp cardamom powder (elaichi powder)
- 2 cups pomegranates
- 1/2 cup diced chickoo
- 1/2 cup diced apples
- 1/2 cup diced pears
- 1/2 cup diced bananas
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
Instruction
- Wash the rice grains with water and soak it in water for 10 minutes.
- Take a heavy bottom pan and pour milk in the pan.
- Heat the pan and let the milk come to a single boil.
- Now add the rice grains and stir it well.
- Let the rice get cooked in the milk on a low flame.
- Keep stirring in between so that the rice doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan.
- Rice will take approximately 35-40 minutes to cook.
- Now add the sugar and cardamom powder and stir well and let it cook for again 10-12 minutes till the milk becomes creamy and thick.
- Once the desired consistency has attained switch off the gas and remove the kheer in a glass bowl and let it cool in room temperature.
- Dice the fruits into small cubes and mix all the fruits in a bowl.
- Keep aside a handful of pomegranates to start with the first layer.
- Chill all the fruits before using except banana, Beat the whipping cream till it is soft and attains its peak.
