Ingredients
The following ingredients have 4 Servings
- 1 tbsp olive or rapeseed oil
- 1 onion, (peeled and finely chopped)
- 400 g can chopped tomatoes
- 1 tbsp tomato purée ((tomato paste))
- 2 tsp mixed dried herbs
- salt and pepper, (to taste)
Instruction
- Heat the oil in a saucepan and gently cook the onions for 5-10 minutes until softened and translucent.
- Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add the tomatoes and bring to simmering point.
- Add the tomato purée and mixed herbs. Simmer gently for at least 15 minutes. Season to taste and use as required
