Ingredients

The following ingredients have 4 Servings
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or 1/4 cup water for water saute
  • 2 (15 oz) cans pinto beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) water or vegetable broth
  • 1/2 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, optional
  • mineral salt & pepper, to taste

Instruction

  • In a medium sauce pan, heat oil or water, saute onions for 5 minutes, add garlic saute for 1 more minute.
  • Add in the beans, spices and water, bring to a simmer, and cook for 5 minutes.
