Ingredients
The following ingredients have 12 Servings
- 13.5 ounces all-purpose flour (3 cups)
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, (or 1/4 teaspoon table salt)
- 1 cup unsalted butter (chilled, cut into small pieces)
- 1/2 cup sour cream ((add 2 teaspoons for high altitude baking))
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar ((use 2 teaspoons for high altitude baking))
- 2 tablespoons ice water or as needed
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 1/4 cups peeled and diced apples, (Honey Crisp, Braeburn and Fuji work well)
- 3 tablespoons coconut sugar (or 2 1/2 tablespoons of granulated sugar)
- 1 tablespoon Lightly Dried Ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom
- Pinch kosher salt (or table salt)
- 1 tablespoon half and half milk
- 1 teaspoon Turbinado sugar
