  • 1/2 cup(s) Crisco shortening
  • 1 1/2 cup(s) sugar
  • 1 - egg
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
  • 1 cup(s) pumpkin, canned
  • 1 teaspoon(s) vanilla
  • 2 3/4 cup(s) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon(s) baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon(s) baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon(s) salt
  • 1 teaspoon(s) pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon(s) cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup(s) walnuts or pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup(s) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup(s) powdered sugar

Instruction

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line your cookie sheets with parchment paper.
  • In an electric mixer, cream together shortening and sugar until fluffy and light in color.
  • Add egg, vanilla, and pumpkin.
  • In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, pumpkin pie spice, and cinnamon.
  • Gradually add to creamed mixture.
  • Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
  • Drop dough by teaspoonful's onto parchment lined baking sheet. Bake for 14-15 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Cool on racks.
  • When cool dust with powdered sugar. Enjoy!
